Our Story
Grey Highway began as a small group of Australians interested in understanding the science behind GLP-1 receptor agonists and related peptide research. What started as informal conversations on Telegram grew into a structured community built on shared learning, critical thinking, and regulatory awareness.
We noticed a gap: quality, accessible information about peptide research in the Australian context was scattered, often behind paywalls, or buried in overseas forums that didn’t address local regulations. Grey Highway exists to fill that gap.
Our Mission
To build a well-informed community of research-literate individuals who understand GLP-1 peptides and research compounds through the lens of published science, Australian regulations, and shared experience.
We are not a medical service. We are not a vendor. We are a community of peers who believe that better understanding leads to better conversations, and better conversations lead to better outcomes.
Our Values
Evidence First We prioritise published research, clinical data, and peer-reviewed literature. Anecdotes have their place, but they are clearly marked as such. We distinguish between what is established, what is emerging, and what is speculative.
Regulatory Respect We operate within the Australian regulatory framework. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) exists for good reason, and we engage with its guidelines constructively. We discuss regulations as they are, not as we might wish them to be.
Honest Uncertainty Science is rarely black and white. We are comfortable saying “we don’t know yet” or “the evidence is mixed.” We resist the urge to oversimplify complex pharmacology or make claims that outrun the data.
Community Care We look out for each other. That means challenging misinformation when we see it, flagging risky claims, and maintaining a space where questions are welcomed and no one is shamed for not knowing something.
TGA-Aware Framing Every piece of content we produce is written with awareness of how it sits within Australian therapeutic goods regulations. We frame discussions around research literacy, not therapeutic promotion.
Who This Is For
Grey Highway is for Australians who want to:
- Understand the science behind GLP-1 peptides and metabolic research
- Stay informed about TGA regulations and scheduling decisions
- Connect with others who share an interest in peptide research literacy
- Access curated resources without wading through misinformation
- Engage in thoughtful, evidence-based discussion
Who This Is Not For
We are not the right community if you are looking for:
- Medical advice or treatment recommendations
- Sourcing guidance or vendor recommendations
- A place to promote unregulated products
- Shortcuts around established medical and regulatory processes
Our Commitment
We commit to maintaining this space as one where research literacy comes first, where Australian regulations are respected, and where the community can grow in understanding together. We review our content regularly and update it as new evidence emerges or regulations change.
